Two Arrested for Impersonating AFL Soldiers, Charged with Robbery
Monrovia, Liberia: The Anti-Robbery Unit of the Liberia National Police has arrested and charged two men accused of posing as soldiers of the Armed Forces of Liberia.
Police identified the suspects as Shadrach Dingwall and Philip W. D.B. Randy. They were apprehended on February 15, 2026, at Bandersville Junction while wearing full military camouflage and allegedly presenting themselves as AFL personnel.
According to investigators, the suspects pepper-sprayed a victim, Frank Roberts, and reportedly stole his Bajaj motorbike. Police say further investigations linked the pair to a series of incidents in which residents were allegedly harassed by individuals impersonating military officers.
The suspects have been charged with robbery, theft of property, impersonating an official, and criminal conspiracy. Authorities confirmed that they have been forwarded to court for prosecution.
