Unity Party Official Critiques CDC's Legacy, Urges Support for New Leadership
Hon. Levi Demmah, a member of the Unity Party Advisory Council and a prominent figure from Grand Bassa, has issued a strong critique of the administration of former President George Weah, declaring that the Unity Party has inherited a "bastardized country."
In an exclusive interview, Demmah emphasized the urgent need for reform across various sectors since the beginning of President Joseph Nyumah Boakai's government. He pointed to the systemic failures during the six-year rule of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), asserting that many institutions established during the Unity Party's previous 12-year leadership have collapsed.
Demmah called on Liberians to place their trust in the new Boakai-Koung leadership, highlighting the critical importance of the administration's first 100 days in restoring stability and normalcy. He urged public support for the government's National Development Agenda, expressing optimism about the potential for meaningful change under the new leadership.
As Liberia's political landscape evolves, Demmah's remarks reflect the Unity Party's strategy to garner support and address the challenges the nation faces during this transitional period.
