Young Girl Electrocuted in Weala, Margibi County

In a heartbreaking incident that occurred in the Barclay Farm Community, Weala, Margibi County, has left a young girl identified as Satta dead after coming into contact with an underground wire connected to a tension line supporting an LEC light pole.  

According to witnesses, the tragic event happened when Satta went behind her house to bathe last evening. The accident led to severe injuries, and despite efforts to transport her to Kakata for medical attention, she succumbed to her injuries during the journey.  

Family members revealed that Satta was in good health prior to the incident and had been looking forward to attending a graduation program today. Her sudden death has left her family and the entire community in deep mourning.  

The Liberia National Police in Weala visited the scene last night and are expected to launch an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
