House of Senate has commenced doing business with the majority bloc; Amidst House impasses
The house of Senate at the 55th national legislature of Liberia has commenced doing business with the majority bloc of the 55th house of representatives.
The Liberian Senate decision comes as a result of a letter sent to the majority bloc craving members of that august body for concurrence of two key legislative instruments.
Those legislative instruments amongst other things include an Act seeking to amend the Liberia Maritime law.
The Act if amended by the national Legislature, will create an independent seaports and inland Ports.
The legislative instrument will regulate authority to provide for the regulation and sustainable development of seaports and inland Ports operation and service in Liberia.
