Europe: Arsenal are into the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League final after defeating Spanish side Atletico Madrid 1-0 in the second leg of the semifinals.

Bukayo Saka's 44th-minute strike on Tuesday night was enough to pave the way for the Gunners to break their 20-year deadlock to the Champions League final.

The result powered the Arsenal to advance 2-1 on aggregate after a 1-1 draw in the leg in Spain. The English club remains unbeaten so far in the competition.

The last time the Gunners featured in the Champions League final was in the 2005/2026 season when they lost 2-1 to Spanish heavyweight Barcelona.

Now, Mikel Arteta's side will wait to face the aggregate winner between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain in the last semifinal clash set to take place on Wednesday, May 6.

The 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League final is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026. The match will be held at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary.
