The curtains of the Liberia Football Association Upper Women's Division League have drawn down with defending champions Determine Girls lifting the 2023-2024 league championship title on Friday at the SKD Practice Pitch in Paynesville.

Determine Girls' impressive performance in the just-ended 2023/2024 season has handed the club her fourth successive league championship dating from 2020/2021, 2021/ 2022, 2022/2023, and 2023/2024 in the top flight LFA women's league.

Coach Patience Gweh's girls secured the league title championship in advance to the 2023-2024 season after taking an indomitable lead on the league table in round 19 but were delayed crowning champions following Blanco FC and Soccer Ambassadors games forfeiture respectively in an anticipated crowning match with the club.

The SKD Practice Pitch in Paynesville on Friday, April 12, was a center stage of focus in the closing fixtures of the Upper Women's League when Determine Girls handicapped relegation-side Just FC 15-1 in their championship crowning match before hundreds of jubilant supporters.

The four-time Upper Women's League championship holders took a commanding ¹ lead in the first half before returning to double up the score to 15-1 in the second half to demolish Just FC to end the season with 57 points on the league table.

Determine Girls recorded 22 games, winning 19, losing 1, drawing nothing, collecting 57 points, while closest rivals Shaita Angels booked 22 rounds winning 13, drawing 4, and losing 3, collecting 43 points to climax the season.

Determine Girl's dominance on the local scene of top-tier women's football can be counted down to the club's persistent form in holding the championship, but comes after giant Earth Angels dominated the league for eight consecutive seasons.

After a successful season, Coach Gweh will now prepare to take the Monrovia-based club to the CAF Women's Champions League from the preliminary rounds to represent Liberia in the continent's top-flight women's competition.
