CAF President Dr. Motsepe Wraps Up Five-Country Tour with Visit to Angola
Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, is set to embark on a two-day working visit to Angola on Friday and Saturday, April 12-13, 2024.
Dr. Motsepe's visit to Luanda, Angola, will conclude his extensive five-country tour, which began in Kigali, Rwanda, on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
Upon his arrival in the nation’s capital on Friday morning, Dr. Motsepe will be greeted by representatives from the Angolan Football Federation and COSAFA President, Artur de Almeida e Silva.
During his visit, Dr. Motsepe will engage in several key activities:On Friday, Dr. Motsepe will meet with Angola's Minister of Sports, Mr. Rui Falcao, at 11:45 AM.The afternoon will be dedicated to meetings with various football stakeholders in Angola.
On Saturday morning, April 13, 2024, Dr. Motsepe will meet with Angola's Head of State, President João Lourenço. At 12:00 PM local time on Saturday, Dr. Motsepe will hold a Press Conference at Epic Sana Luanda.
Prior to his visit to Angola, Dr. Motsepe attended the opening of the TotalEnergies Futsal Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco on Thursday. Before that, he visited Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday.
Dr. Motsepe's visit underscores CAF's commitment to strengthening relationships and promoting football development across the African continent.
