House Leadership Recklessness Exposes Lawmakers to Potential Communicable Health Threat, Are They Careless or insensitive?

Capitol Hill:  The health of members of the honorable House of Representatives appears at risk as lawmakers are currently using just two microphones rotationally during regular sessions.

The lack of sufficient microphones to every legislator possess potential threat of communicable disease to any member of that August body.

Over the years, the House of Representatives have used just few microphones during debates something that is believe not to exist in contemporary politics.

At the House of Senate, every parliamentarian is assigned to a microphone and same is expected that the House of Representatives respectfully do similar due to the bad health system of the country.

The lack of proper equipment and qualify doctors in Liberia, couple with and the High cost normally on government to conduct by-election due to illness and subsequent death of a lawmaker are some key reasons the house’s leadership should see the urgent need.

This deliberate act of ignoring such major threat poise on individual lawmakers by the house leadership is been termed as irresponsible, reckless, and lack of interest for the protection of themselves and their colleagues.

Over there past two tenures, both houses has witnessed their colleagues both from the HOR and SEN struggled and died as a result of illness, some of which could have even been attributed to communicable effect. To name a few: Erol Madison Gwion (Grand Gedeh, Dist. 1), Munah Pelham Youngblood (Mont. Dist. 9), Moses Tandapolie (Mont, Dist. 11) J. Nagbe Sloh ( Sinoe) respectively.

Is such loss not enough to raise concern to that August body?  But this seems to be a concern to the House of Representatives as they all feels comfortable when a microphone is taken from one lawmaker’s mouth to another.
