Jah Nyanforh Scores First Under-20 Goal, As Junior Lonestar win Under-20 Championship

Black Man Warrior centre-back Jah Nyanforh was on the score sheet for Liberia Under-20 in their 5-1 win over Sierra Leone in the Men's Zonal Under-20 Tournament.

The match was played on Sunday at the SKD Sports Complex.

Nyanforh scored Liberia's first goal of the match to give Coach Kelvin Sebwe's side a 1-0 lead before Emmanuel Sieh doubled the score to make it 2-1 at the break.

The LFA 2022/23 Orange Second Division League Best Defender was outstanding in the match, helping the Liberia Under-20 side to clinch the trophy.

Nyanforh Celebrating his first Goal

Nyanforh played a key role in Liberia's Under-20 success clocking a total of 360 minutes from 4 matches.

The left-footed defender was named in Coach Mario Marinica's 30 Man local squad and was delighted in netting his first goal.

“It's a really good feeling to score," he told Sports Journalists after the match. "Everyone at Warriors has been waiting for me to score since I won the Man Of the Match Award. It's a very good feeling.”

 “I am really happy with my first goal; more to come," he added. "We did well defensively and offensively, and that is what gave us the win.”

 He then registered his excitement to have scored a goal for the country in front of home fans, indicating that it was a dream come true for him.
