Liberia Youth Team Secures Second Win in England Friendly Tour

Liberia's Under 17 and 20 joint Talent Development Scheme National Team whipped Southampton Under-17 side 2-1 on Thursday to collect its second straight win in the ongoing friendly England tour. Youngsters Robert Lartey and Pater Putu netted one goal each to power the young Lone Star defeat Southampton's youth team at the Stapewood Football Development Centre.

London, England: Liberia's Under 17 and 20 joint Talent Development Scheme National Team whipped Southampton Under-17 side 2-1 on Thursday to collect its second straight win in the ongoing friendly England tour.

Youngsters Robert Lartey and Pater Putu netted one goal each to power the young Lone Star defeat Southampton's youth team at the Stapewood Football Development Centre.

Liberia's U-17 and 20 TDS joint football Team has honored three games so far in the ongoing England Tour, losing 1 and winning 2.

The boys lost massively in their opening friendly encounter by 9-0 against Chelsea Under-21.

However, the team regrouped picking two straight wins against Aldershot and Southampton U-17 respectively.

The Liberia youth team defeated Aldershot 3-1 before moving to win against secure another victory in Thursday's match.

The ongoing friendly tour is an international development program organized by the British Embassy in Liberia, in collaboration with the Liberia Football Association.

The selected squad is competing in a series of friendly matches against various youth teams and academies in England.
