Old-man Boakai lacks the ability to lead

Simeon Freeman, the political leader of the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC), has publicly criticized Liberia's President Joseph Boakai, stating that he lacks the ability to effectively lead the country. Freeman's comments come as a blow to Boakai's administration, which has been grappling with numerous challenges since taking office on January 22, 2024.

Freeman, known for his outspoken nature, did not mince his words when expressing his concerns about Boakai's leadership. He firmly believes that the current administration will not bring any significant improvements to the lives of the Liberian people. One of his main criticisms is the absence of a well-structured governmental system that would provide financial relief to ordinary citizens.

Since assuming office, President Boakai has faced mounting pressure to address the economic hardships faced by the Liberian population. However, Freeman argues that Boakai has failed to take decisive action in this regard. The lack of a comprehensive plan to alleviate the financial burdens faced by ordinary Liberians has left many disillusioned and frustrated.

The MPC leader has also called for a more inclusive approach to governance, where all stakeholders are involved in decision-making processes. He believes that this will lead to more effective policies that address the needs of all Liberians, not just a select few.

He accused President Boakai of being out of touch with the realities on the ground, stating that the government has failed to provide basic amenities such as electricity, among others.

Freeman’s comments have sparked a heated debate within the political landscape of Liberia. Supporters of the MPC leader argue that his assessment of Boakai's leadership is accurate and that the country needs a change in direction. On the other hand, Boakai's loyalists defend the president, highlighting the numerous challenges inherited from the previous administration and the ongoing efforts to address them.
