President Boakai Receives Letters of Credence from Five New Ambassadors

Capitol Hill: Monrovia, Liberia – President Joseph Boakai has officially received Letters of Credence from five new ambassadors accredited to Liberia.

On February 4, 2025, His Excellency Joseph Boakai welcomed H.E. Indira Lopez Arguelles, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba. Ambassador Arguelles presented her credentials during a formal ceremony at the Presidential Palace, marking the beginning of her diplomatic mission to Liberia.

Later, President Boakai also received H.E. Mnoj Bihari Verma, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India. Ambassador Verma’s arrival further strengthens the diplomatic ties between Liberia and India.

In addition, President Boakai welcomed H.E. Mariana Goncalves Madeira, Ambassador Extraordinary of the Republic of Brazil, who officially presented her Letters of Credence, solidifying the ongoing cooperation between the two nations.

The President also received credentials from H.E. Mariana Goncalves Madeira, the Ambassador Extraordinary of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. Ambassador Madeira’s appointment marks a continued commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between Liberia and Equatorial Guinea.

The ceremonies were attended by senior government officials and members of the diplomatic corps. President Boakai expressed his gratitude for the ambassadors’ commitment to fostering deeper ties with their respective countries and reaffirmed Liberia’s dedication to enhancing international relations.

These new diplomatic appointments reflect Liberia’s growing global partnerships and commitment to peaceful and prosperous relations with countries across the world.
