Nimba County District #7 Representative Musa Hassan Bility has released a statement in response to the arrest of his son, Peach Bility, by the Liberian Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) on suspicion of possessing illegal narcotics and firearms.
In the statement, Representative Bility acknowledged the distressing news delivered by the LDEA and expressed empathy for the countless families affected by the consequences of illegal drug activity.
He described the pain endured by his own family and emphasized the need for solutions to combat the presence of illicit substances and weapons in Liberian society.
While expressing unwavering love for his son, Representative Bility stressed that Peach Bility, as an adult, must face the consequences of his actions.
He highlighted the importance of accountability and the role of the justice system in addressing such issues.
Representative Bility concluded the statement by expressing solidarity with the victims, families, and loved ones affected by the detrimental impact of illegal drugs in Liberian communities.
According to reports, Peach Bility was arrested in possession of over 400 grams of marijuana, 24 grams of kush, and two firearms.
