BREAKING: United Bank for Africa sacks Liberia’s Managing Director
MONROVIA – The United Bank for Africa (UBA) has relived from her post, the Managing Director of UBA-Liberia, Madam Nkechi Joyce Arizor, a portfolio that carries so much weight.
Madam Joyce Arizor has had so many boiled rivers running around her, with a damaging report, which indicted her for over-stepping her bounds when dealing with loans and other activities she was never to be involved with. Some of them involved the breakdown of compliance statues at the bank, where over US$120,000 was withdrawn from the bank on three occasions by unknown individuals. These transactions were disputed by CEMENCO and are currently being investigated by the Liberian National Police and the Central Bank of Liberia.
Several other malicious transactions are unfolding, which were threatening the banks image and causing serious financial losses, K-news has gathered. These actions, our investigation uncovers, have drained the relationship between the bank and officials of government, whose relationship with the MD, went far above business.
