Saudi Arabia Gives Liberia 29,000 Bags of Rice to Assit Vulnerable People- Latest Liberian News

Monrovia- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has officially handed over a quantity of rice worth 500,000 United States Dollars as assistance to the Liberian government.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the head of the delegation from King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in Saudi Arabia, Faisssal Al-Zamil, who spoke through an interpreter, said the presentation of the rice is in fulfillment of the response by the King of Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Al-Zamil expressed hope that the relations existing between Saudi Arabia and Liberia will continue to grow.

Receiving the quantity of rice on behalf of the Liberian government, Foreign Minister, Dee Maxwell Kemeya lauded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its kind gesture to Liberia.

Minister Kemeyah assured the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that the rice will be used for its intended purpose.

The donation is coming just weeks after the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Liberian government signed an agreement for the donation of 29,000 bags of 25kg rice valued at 500,000 United States Dollars to assist vulnerable people in Liberia.

    This is embrassing – just the fact you can’t even affor to feed your self, people got to give you food before you can eat.

    if the entire country begging, what’s about the poeple who live there.
