“You Want to Start a War?” Kwagrue Issues Explosive Warning to Unnamed Political Rival

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA :Nimba County District #5 Representative Kortor Kwagrue has issued a strongly worded political warning, challenging an unnamed rival to a political confrontation while suggesting that any attempt to test his strength could trigger a fierce electoral battle.

In a statement posted publicly, Kwagrue questioned the preparedness of the person he appeared to be addressing, asking: “You don’t have weapons or ammunition, yet you want to start a war?” The remarks have sparked questions over the identity of the politician or political figure at the center of his warning.

Kwagrue then shifted the focus to development and youth empowerment, defending the record of his political camp while accusing his unnamed opponent of failing to create employment opportunities. “If you are man enough to build up people, why only start now?” he asked.

He went on to praise what he described as the long-standing efforts of his political “boss” to empower young Liberians, claiming those efforts have continued since the two sides came into power in 2011. “My boss has been building up young men and women since you both came into power in 2011, right up to this day,” Kwagrue stated.

The District #5 lawmaker also made a direct accusation concerning employment, alleging that his political rival failed to provide jobs for people through the office he held. “You couldn’t provide a single job for any of them out of your office,” he charged, further alleging that “more than three people are forced to share a single salary.”

Kwagrue portrayed himself as a strong political force in Nimba, pointing to what he described as his contribution to development. “Who do you have that can fight against a champion of development like me, who is doing what you failed to do in 13 years?” he challenged.

The statement became even more politically charged when Kwagrue appeared to address a potential electoral challenge directly, warning that he would defeat any opponent placed against him. “If you test me and put up a lazy, weak opponent against me, I will deal with them and defeat them easily,” he declared.

Looking beyond the immediate political confrontation, Kwagrue appeared to signal his own ambitions for the future, threatening to challenge the unnamed figure for their seat in 2032. “After winning, I will surely come after your seat come 2032,” he said, turning what began as a warning into an apparent declaration of future political competition.

Kwagrue ended his message with perhaps its strongest warning, telling the unnamed target that silence could preserve his support, but confrontation would bring a different response. “If you care about your position and want me to leave you alone or support you, keep quiet, otherwise, you and your people will feel my full force.
