Breaking News: Court Orders Clar Hope Foundation to Produce Financial Records Over Weah Complex

Capitol Hill, Liberia: Criminal Court “A” has issued a writ of subpoena ordering the Clar Hope Foundation to produce all documents, including financial records, relating to the construction of a multi-purpose complex built and owned by former First Lady Clar Marie Weah in Marshall, Margibi County.

The subpoena comes amid an ongoing investigation by Liberia’s Assets Recovery and Property Retrieval Task Force (AREPT) into allegations of corruption, including the possible diversion and misuse of public funds linked to the foundation.

Under the court order, the Clar Hope Foundation is required to account for how the privately owned complex, spanning several acres of land, was financed and constructed.

The matter is now before the court, where the former First Lady is expected to provide documentation supporting the source of funds used for the project.

This is a developing story.
