Breaking News: LBR’s Foreign Min Nyanti Requests U.S. Explanation on Potential Visa Restrictions

Capitol Hill: Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti has announced that the government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has launched a diplomatic démarche to the United States, requesting clarification on reports suggesting that Liberia may face U.S. visa restrictions.
Speaking before the Senate, Minister Nyanti expressed surprise over the claims, emphasizing that Liberia has not received any official communication from U.S. authorities on the matter. She further revealed that the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia has confirmed it has no formal information regarding the situation.
The démarche outlines Liberia’s position and provides reasons why the country should not be included on the U.S. “yellow list,” should the reports prove to be accurate.
