Deputy Police Director Nominee Apologizes for Past Incident During Confirmation Hearing

Following the instruction from the former ruling Coalition for Democratic change to vote against his confirmation due to the situation in 2011, embattled Deputy police Director for Operations designate has openly apologize to the Liberian people for what he turned as fatal incident that led to the lost of the life of one person.

Nelson Freeman apologize was triggered by Montserrado County Senator Saah Joseph intervention.

According to our Reporter covering the Liberian senate observe that the Montserrado County Lawmaker told the nominatee Freeman to apologize due to keeping the peace in the Country. 

But in response to Senator Joseph request, Freeman narrated that though he was not responsible for the killing  but regretted been on the seem of the incident and a citizen life was lost in the process.

It can be recalled, president Joseph Nyumah Boakai nominated Nelson Freeman recently, but since his nomination the former ruling Coalition for Democratic change has accused Freeman of killing Cdcians during the protest against the former president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf regime on allegations of forcefully taking away the first round of the election in 2011.

Appearing before members of that august body on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, the Deputy Director for Operations empathize that the final investigation into the incident and got exonerated thereby releasing the gunshot that led to the death of the Cdcian. 
" Let me apologize to the Liberian people for the incident and my apologize is coming in mainly for my presence on the seem when the incident took place though I wasn't directly responsible for the death of the boy in question" Freeman said. 

Meanwhile, the former police commander of Grand Bassa and Bong Counties during the hearing reassured the Liberian senate committee on National Defense Security and intelligence chair by Lofa county senator Momo Cyrus vowed to not repeat such an as long as he remains as police officer
