Liberian Senate to Commence Confirmation Hearing of Appointed Officials

The president Pro-Tempore of the Liberian senate has announced the commencement of confirmation hearings as of Wednesday January 31, 2024.

Speaking in the chamber of the Liberian senate, Madam Nyonblee Kangar Lawrence said the excise kick start by 11 when the Minister Finance and Development planning Boima Kamara follow by the commission general of the Liberia Revenue Authority Boss designate and the committee on ways means and Finance headed by Bong County Senator Prince Kermue Moye.

She added that the Minster for presidential Affairs sylvester Grisby confirmation hearing will take place at 12 pm committee on Executive headed by Maryland County Senator James Banney.

Giving the plans of action further the Grand Bassa County Senator noted that Thursday  February 1, 2024 at 2pm Madam Sara Beysolow Nyanti Minister for Foreign Affairs Designate will be conducted by standing committee on Foreign Affairs headed by Montserrado County Senator Abraham Darius Dillion.

Friday 11am confirmation hearing for the inspector General of the Liberian National Police Gregory coleman and the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency boss designate Abraham Kormah and the excise will be conducted by Lofa county senator Momo Cyrus the Chair on Defense Security and veteran Affairs.

The confirmation hearing will continue on Monday February 5, 2024 when the committee on commence and Industry will host Amin Modad Minister designate.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture, The Ministry of Youth and Sports, The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health will shortly be announced.
