England failed to get a breakthrough against their Group L opponents despite having 19 attempts and 78 per cent of the ball.
Bellingham, 22, was subbed off for Morgan Rogers with 20 minutes to play. He accounted for zero key passes and 1 shot in the match.
The English man hailed the Ghanaian defense, and said its composure prevented the Three Lions from getting a goal.
He suggested that from a brilliant defence, the award was fairly to go to a Ghanaian defender.
"It probably should have gone to one of their lads who defended so well. I had a couple of moments but it was hard to get into the game".
