Kigali, Rwanda: The Lone Star of Liberia held their second training session in Kigali on Wednesday evening as they prepare to take on Rwanda this Friday, September 24, 2026 in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Coach Mohammed Erradi's men were engaged in tactical drills, including attacking and defensive strategies during Wednesday training session.
Notable names that took part of the latest training session include Captain Oscar Dorley, Solomon Tweh, Sampson Dweh, Emmanuel Fully, Franklin Nyenetue, Mohammed Sangare, and Divine Teah, among others.
Friday, September 25, 2026, encounter, against Rwanda, will mark the opening of Liberia's 2027 AFCON qualification campaign.
Liberia enters this term's AFCON qualifiers with high expectations to push and resurface on the biggest African Football stage after 2 decades of being absent.
To make this dream a reality, the Lone Star must emerge as one of the two top teams in Group K to earn qualification for the main tournament.
The Lone Star are drawn in the group with Rwanda, Mali and Cape Verde. Coach Mohammed Erradi has since released a 24-player squad to begin the mission for Liberia's AFCON dream.
