Lester Tenny Alleges Weah Behind Samuel Tweah’s Prosecution
Monrovia, Liberia: Dr. Lester Z. Tenny, a former senior official of the CDC government, has accused former President George Weah of being behind the prosecution of former Finance Minister Samuel D. Tweah Jr..
In a statement, Dr. Tenny said President Joseph Boakai and the Unity Party government have no reason to target Tweah because he is not a political threat to them.
According to him, a free Samuel Tweah is instead a threat to former President Weah inside the CDC.
“A freed Tweah poses a significant threat to George Weah,” Tenny wrote.
He claimed that Weah does not like competition and mentioned names including J. Fonati Koffa, Thomas Fallah, Saah Joseph and Yekeh Kolubah as people he believes were pushed aside politically.
Tenny further alleged that Weah is “the true mastermind behind the conviction of Tweah” and described the former Liberian leader as “a witty contriver.”
Former President Weah has not responded to the allegations.

Dr. Lester Z. Tenny, Former Vice President for Technical Services of NOCAL in CDC Government, writes ✍️
"The Samuel Tweah case is a classic example of internal contradictions. For the record, JNB has no interest in targeting any Liberian. His mission is to see Liberians benefit from their country resources in a fair way. His vision is to reset a country greatly abused by state actors. He has no tendency of witch hunting anybody. How do I know? Well I was one of those who spent years with him.
Now let's look at what's unfolding critically. Samuel Tweah is not a threat to the UP. D12 poses no existing threat to the ruling party re-election. Circumstances have dislodged D12 in many ways and forms. The optics about him regaining any noticeable status is slim. The real question many of you aren't asking is since Tweah doesn't pose any significant threat to the UP, then why would anybody think that the UP is targeting him? It makes no sense.
Now let's examine the other side of the coin. A freed Tweah poses a significant threat to a George weah. D12 has always been seen as a threat to weah. Weah doesn't love competition. Evidence has shown what happens when weah sees anyone as a threat. First Fonati Kofa was compromised because Weah felt Fonati was becoming too powerful and he felt uncomfortable.
Then Fallah who is widely admired in the party was expelled. Which political party with ambition of capturing state power will expel vote-magnet like Thomas fallah? Then Saah Joseph, and recently, the pitiful Yekeh Kolubah. If anyone can read between the lines, Weah can never feel comfortable with a free Samuel D Tweah Jr.
The beautiful part is no secret in this country. One day we will all know that weah is the true mastermind behind the conviction of Tweah. It won't be surprising that it could be Weah behind the retrial of Tweah simply because a jailed Samuel tweah is one less headache for Weah.
I often tell people, nobody understands Weah better than me. The man is a witty contriver. Everything that D12 is going thru was because he wanted to feed the insatiable appetite of a gangster president and so the dance continues."
