Old Sodoken Shows Former Speaker Pepper as Rerun Results Favors Anthony Williams
Pleebo: The Rerun election in Old Sodoken, Pleebo District, Maryland County was the talk of the day.
However, the rerun results show Bhofal Chambers 120, while Anthony Williams 671, a 551 votes margin.
Lead Campaigner of Team Bhofal Chambers, Miss. Ariminty Tubman has after the rerun congratulated Anthony F. Williams on her official Facebook page, with the post, "It was a beautiful race! There must be a time for everything. Congratulations to team Williams, lead well #Democracy#".
Anthony Williams who is backed heavily by traditional Leaders in the District is said to be the next face of the District at the house of Legislature.
It can be recalled during the October 10's elections' results that enabled Williams to be certificated by the NEC was challenged by rival Chambers nullifying his certification.
The case that spent closed to four months in court was later ordered to a rerun election in two polling places in the Sodoken, Pleebo District, Maryland County.
As it stands, the National Elections Commission will in the coming days certificate Mr. Anthony Williams as the Winner, joining his colleagues at Capitol Building for national duty.
