The current deplorable Condition of the SJC Davis Junior High School in Sinoe County now requires urgent Attention from educational stakeholders in the county and country.
Samuel James Christopher Davis Junior High School, the oldest government learning institution established in 1960, is in dire need of urgent renovations to provide a smooth and comfortable learning environment for the upcoming 2024/2025 academic year going forward.
According to Mr. Sailah Wleh Toe Jr., the principal of the institution, the school has been in a serious state of disrepair since he took over as headmaster in 2022. Despite his efforts, the school building remains in a damaging condition, something that put the students at direct risk.
Principal Toe reported that the total enrollment for the 2023/2024 academic year is 610 students, spending a total of $2,100 USD, equivalent to $411,600 Liberian Dollars, on 15 bundles of zinc for renovations from 2022 to the present.
He is calling on humanitarian organizations, concerned citizens of Sinoe County, the local Ministry of Education, and the central government to support the school.
Their assistance is crucial to ensure a comfortable learning environment for young Liberians who go there to acquire education.
