Monrovia, Liberia: Former Montserrado County District #8 Representative, Moses Acarous Gray, has announced plans to contest the district’s seat in the 2029 legislative elections, signaling a political comeback years after leaving office.

In a strong declaration, Gray said he is preparing to return with a renewed vision aimed at transforming leadership within the House of Representatives.

“We will be contesting in Montserrado County District #8 in 2029. The official captain of the ship will return and we shall transform the leadership and image of the House of Representatives through a bipartisan approach. The district deserves leadership and oneness. There’s no turning back as the road to 2029 is now,” Gray stated.

Often referred to by supporters as “The General,” Gray’s announcement has already sparked reactions across the district, with loyalists welcoming what they describe as a long-anticipated return.

Supporters argue that the former lawmaker’s leadership style and political experience position him as a strong contender, while critics are expected to weigh in as the political landscape toward 2029 gradually takes shape.
