Sen. Johnson’s MDR Refutes Report of Threat to Return MDR to CDC Over Allege Exclusion in VP Talk

Monrovia: The Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR) of Sen. Prince Johnson has refuted reports that it has “threaten to return MDR to The CDC,” following “alleges exclusion in VP talk”.

The Party’s statement is in response to the Friday, April 7, 2023 edition of the New Dawn News Paper Under the Banner Headline “PYJ Alleges Exclusion In VP Talks, Threatens To Return MDR To The CDC”.

But in a statement late Sunday evening, the MDR denied the information, adding that it did not come from Sen.Johnson.

“The MDR categorically refutes this information permeating on social media which has beclouded the political spheres about its Lead Vision Bearer & Governing Council Chair Senator Prince Y. Johnson of returning to the Coalition For Democratic Change-CDC.” MDR in a statement on Sunday evening.

It added that its Vision Bearer enjoys playing a more advisory role while the new Political leader Sen. Jeremiah Kpan Koung including other emerging Leaders from the Executive committee runs the day-to-day activities of the MDR.

The party also used the occasion to call on the New Dawn News Paper Publication to avoid being used by politicians to publish mere propaganda against its Governing Council Chair Sen. Prince Y. Johnson.

“there has been absolutely no intention, nor decision reached to return to the Ruling party” MDR in a statement.

The party reassures Liberians, Partisans, and admirers that, both the Governing Council and the Executive Committee of the Party firmly support the Opposition Unity and not the CDC should there be an opportunity for an alternative.
