CBS Officially Launches in Liberia, Empowering Over 120 Church Leaders Through Bible Training

Monrovia, Liberia: Community Bible Study (CBS), a U.S.-based Christian organization, officially launched its ministry in Liberia after successfully completing a two-day Bible training program aimed at equipping church leaders and members with Biblical principles.

The training, held in Monrovia, brought together more than 120 participants from various churches and denominations across Liberia. The event served as an introduction to CBS’s mission and a practical opportunity to inspire and equip believers to deepen their knowledge of Scripture and strengthen their walk with God.

CBS was founded in 1986 in the United States and is now active in 26 African countries, including Liberia. Its core mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ through caring, in-depth Bible study, available to all.

Speaking to K-News, Mr. Prosper Isichei, CBS Regional Director for Sub-Saharan Africa, emphasized the impact of the program across the continent.

“This program is running in several African countries, and we’re seeing tremendous spiritual growth. It’s helping Christians to understand God’s Word and stay strong in their faith,” he said.

Mr. Isichei encouraged local churches and Christian organizations in Liberia to embrace this opportunity to strengthen their congregations through sound Biblical teaching.

On his part, James Korha, CBS Country Coordinator for Liberia, expressed joy over the successful launch.

“It’s a great joy to see CBS finally launched in Liberia. I encourage every participant to make full use of the study materials and apply what they’ve learned in their various churches,” Korha said.

Participants at the training expressed gratitude to CBS for the initiative and pledged to act as ambassadors by sharing the knowledge and tools they received with others in their communities.

“We are thankful for this opportunity. We’ve been empowered, and we are ready to take what we’ve learned back to our churches,” one participant stated.

With its official launch in Liberia, CBS is set to play a key role in spiritual development and Biblical education across the country, in line with its mission of transforming lives through the Word of God.
