“Facebook New Policy: 30-Day Limit for Storing Live Videos”Before Being Automatically Deleted

Facebook, one of the largest social media platforms, has introduced new regulations and restrictions regarding live video streaming. Beginning February 19, 2025, all live videos will be automatically deleted from the platform after 30 days.

In addition, existing live videos that were previously saved on Facebook will also be automatically deleted after 90 days. This means that any live videos uploaded since the creation of your TV platform will be removed after 90 days.

Facebook New Storage Policy

According to Facebook, these changes are part of an update to their Live Video Storage Policy, which is designed to better align with industry standards. The new policy aims to provide more respect to traditional media formats.

As an alternative, Facebook encourages users to download their individual videos by selecting the ones they want to save to their devices. For bulk downloads, users can download all their videos in a single ZIP file, available on both mobile and web. Additionally, Facebook offers cloud transfer options, allowing users to directly transfer their live videos to cloud storage.
