Cllr. Kanio Bai Gbala lauds Weah and Boakai; Cautions Against Collective Guilt 

MONROVIA: Former National Campaign Spokesman of the CDC and Assistant Professor of Law at the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law Cllr. Kanio Bai Gbala has congratulated President Weah for being a beacon of democracy by conceding gracefully to the results of the just-ended elections. 

Speaking at a press conference in Monrovia, Cllr. Gbala asserted that, unlike anti-democratic leaders, President Weah has demonstrated superior leadership by conceding defeat despite the very low margin between him and Amb. Boakai.

In similar stead, Cllr. Gbala also congratulated Amb. Boakai on his victory but cautioned him to focus on uniting the country given the political divisions that were amplified by the very close results. 

He further advised Amb. Boakai to restrain radical Unity Party partisans who were using a recent accident that led to the loss of the lives of 3 Unity Partisans to wrongfully blame and target CDCians. 

Cllr. Gbala averred that such actions had the propensity to undermine the peace and provoke violence.
