Dagoseh Reacts To Removal From Commerce Ministry, Reaffirms Commitment To Liberia

Monrovia, Liberia:Replaced Commerce and Industry Minister Magdalene Ellen Dagoseh has broken her silence following her departure from the government, expressing profound gratitude to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai for giving her the opportunity to serve Liberia.

In a message of appreciation, Dagoseh said serving as Minister of Commerce and Industry under President Boakai was a great honor and provided her with an opportunity to contribute to the administration’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development.

“I extend my profound gratitude and sincere appreciation to the President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Amb. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., for the confidence he reposed in me and for affording me the opportunity to serve the Liberian people as Minister of Commerce and Industry,” she wrote.

Dagoseh said her tenure allowed her to focus on advancing commerce, supporting Liberian-owned businesses, promoting entrepreneurship and creating economic opportunities for citizens.

“Serving under his leadership has been a great honor and a valuable opportunity to contribute to the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development,” the former minister stated, highlighting her work in the commerce sector.

She also expressed appreciation for the trust, guidance and support she received during her time in government, signaling a willingness to remain engaged in national affairs despite her removal from the Cabinet.

“I remain deeply grateful for the trust, guidance, and support received during my tenure,” Dagoseh said, adding that she will continue to cherish the opportunity to serve Liberia.

The former Commerce Minister further pledged to contribute to the country’s development “in every capacity possible,” while expressing hope for continued progress and prosperity for the Liberian people.

Concluding her message, Dagoseh prayed for President Boakai, asking God to grant him “wisdom, strength, and courage” as he leads Liberia toward what she described as “a more prosperous and inclusive future.”
