LSEZA Highlights Investment Opportunities at Prosperity Africa Conference
The Liberia Special Economic Zones Authority (LSEZA) has highlighted investment opportunities available in Liberia, emphasizing the potential of Special Economic Zones to promote industrial growth, attract investors, and create jobs.
The Authority made the case during the Seventh Prosperity Africa Conference, held at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Monrovia.
Presenting on behalf of LSEZA, the Authority’s Director for Regulations and Legal Affairs, Atty. Ebenezer Wilson, outlined how Special Economic Zones could help expand industrial production, increase exports, and strengthen Liberia’s competitiveness as an investment destination.
Wilson identified tax incentives, a youthful workforce, available land resources, and business support services as some of the opportunities for investors seeking to establish or expand operations in Liberia.
LSEZA also set up an exhibition booth at the conference to provide prospective investors with information on investment requirements, application procedures, available incentives, and the process for accessing opportunities under the country’s Special Economic Zones framework.
The engagement is intended to connect the Authority with potential investors and explain how the zones could support local production, value addition, export growth, and employment.
The Seventh Prosperity Africa Conference is a biennial business gathering organized by the Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the Liberia Chamber of Commerce. It brings together government officials, investors, business leaders, financial institutions, and chambers of commerce to explore investment opportunities and business partnerships.
LSEZA is the statutory institution responsible for designating, promoting, developing, and managing Special Economic Zones in Liberia, with the aim of attracting investment, advancing industrialization, and creating sustainable employment.
