Senate Chaplain Honors CSA Director-General Dr. Josiah Joekai
Monrovia, Liberia: The Chaplain-General of the Liberian Senate, Apostle Sagacious A. Jallah, has honored Civil Service Agency (CSA) Director-General Dr. Josiah F. Joekai Jr. for his leadership and years of dedicated service to Liberia.
The recognition comes as Liberia prepares to celebrate its 179th Independence Day on July 26, 2026.
During a ceremony held Friday at the CSA headquarters in Congo Town, Apostle Jallah presented Dr. Joekai with a plaque and offered a special prayer in recognition of his efforts to reform the Civil Service Agency and Liberia’s public service.
Apostle Jallah said the work of the Civil Service Agency is helping to build a more productive workforce in Liberia.
“The transition that I’m seeing encouraged me to come, express my appreciation, present this recognition, and offer a prayer because there are people whose dedication deserves to be recognized,” he said.
He also reminded Dr. Joekai that many Liberians admire both the work of the CSA and his leadership.
Speaking about Liberia’s 179th Independence Day, Apostle Jallah called on all Liberians to work together in the spirit of unity and national development.
Receiving the honor, Dr. Joekai thanked Apostle Jallah for the surprise recognition.
“This truly came as a surprise to me. I am deeply emotional because I never expected such an honor, nor the powerful wording and inscription on this plaque,” Dr. Joekai said.
He described the recognition as a symbol of patriotism and motivation for him and the CSA team to continue carrying out reforms in Liberia’s public service.
Apostle Jallah was accompanied by Bishop Dr. E. Reuben Logan II of the Apostolic Outreach Church International in Joe Bar, Paynesville.
