Senate Yet to Determine Prince C. Johnson Fate Following Failed Consultation by Leadership as They take Break to Reconvene

Capitol Hill: The President of the Senate and Vice President Jeremiah Koung has prematurely announced a lunch break to reconvene following a failed consultation by the leadership of the Liberian senate on a decision to decide the faith of Prince C Johnson III, Minister designate National Defense.

The House of Elder took the break at the time a report from the Committee on Security, Defense, Intelligence and Veteran Affairs was expected on the floor on the confirmation hearing of Mag. Gen. Prince C. Johnson, Defense Minister designate and others.

At the same time, several wives of members of the Armed Forces of Liberia and some active duty military solider have raised grave allegations of corruption and maltreatment of their husbands by Gen. Johnson and branded him as modern pharoad.

They have several time been calling on the Senate to reject him to safe the peace of Liberia, adding that many of the AFL personnel feel threatened and unhappy working with him.

Meanwhile, several senators were heard on the floor that they would  not vote for the confirmation of Gen. Johnson considering the allegations of the wives.
