Senator Biney Issues Warning to Marylanders Seeking Jobs in Monrovia After Two Deaths

Maryland: As the Boakai administration continues its efforts to create employment opportunities, concerns have arisen among Maryland County residents that only those with connections to top Unity Party politicians are being offered jobs.
This perception has led many young people from Maryland County to seek support from Senator James P. Biney, the county's representative and Chairperson of the Senate's Executive Committee.
Senator Biney, known for his influence within the Unity Party, has reportedly helped several young Marylanders secure government jobs.
This has prompted others from the county to build quick relationships with the senator in hopes of gaining employment.
In light of these developments, Senator Biney's office released a press statement warning against what it termed as an influx of Marylanders coming to Monrovia in search of jobs.
“While Senator Biney is committed to seeing Marylanders occupy positions in government, it is important for the public to note that neither Senator Biney nor his office has ever requested anyone to come to Monrovia for jobs. Those who managed to come did so at their own volition," the statement read.
Sources from Senator Biney's office informed this paper that at least two Marylanders, identified as James Yancy, alias G.I. Mo, and Rashu Jackson, brother of Harper City Mayor Abraham Jackson, arrived in Monrovia over the weekend seeking jobs through the senator's influence.
Unfortunately, both men died from unknown illnesses after being admitted to the JFK Medical Hospital.
Following the deaths, Senator Biney's office expressed neither regret nor sympathy but issued a warning to Marylanders, stating, "We therefore kindly request all those here in Monrovia for this purpose to return to the county."
