“Violent Protest Erupts Jacob’s Town: School Eviction Sparks Chaos, Damaging Properties and Injuring Residents”

Jacob's Town was a center of confusion when some residents staged a violent protest that saw the damage of properties, including, the Jacob's police deport. 

 The violence which started when some police officers went to evict the Africa Islamic center school brought to a standstill all activities in the Jacob's Town area.

The principal of the Africa Islamic center school, Jenneh Saysay, said police entered the schools without a court order to carry out the eviction. 

Madam Saysay said her entity has been in conflict Madam Martha Gweh over the land her school occupies. 

 In the riot, the Family Medical Center was one of the facilities attacked. 

 Our reporter on the scene said a lady in labor was seen rushed out of the medical facility amid heavy stone throws.

 Vehicles in the medical center were damaged.  When contacted, administrators of the facility decline to comment. The Jacob's Town police deport was also vandalized by protesters. The protesters also targeted Journalists, and prevented video recording and photographing.

But calm was restored by the Liberia National Police.
