Zor Elders Name Senator Samuel Kogar as Nimba’s New ‘Godfather

Nimba, Liberia: Elders of Zor Chiefdom in Nimba County have named Senator Samuel G. Kogar as the county’s new “Godfather,” replacing the late Senator Prince Yormie Johnson.

The announcement was made by Paramount Chief Joseph Yealue Yormie during a traditional gathering in Zor-Zualy. The elders presented Senator Kogar with kola nuts and a white chicken as a sign of respect and acceptance.

Senator Kogar thanked the traditional leaders for the honor and promised to serve all Nimbaians with fairness and humility. He also called on the people of Nimba to forgive one another, stay united, and work together for the county’s future.
