MOH Receives 25 Ambulances to Strengthen Maternal Healthcare and Emergency Response

Monrovia, Liberia: The Ministry of Health has received twenty-five ambulances procured by the Government of Liberia as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s emergency medical response system and enhance healthcare delivery nationwide.

The acquisition forms part of the Government’s broader commitment to reinforcing Liberia’s health infrastructure and improving access to timely emergency medical services, particularly in hard-to-reach communities.

The Ministry expressed appreciation for the support, noting that the ambulances will play a vital role in reducing delays in emergency response and improving lifesaving interventions across the country.

The new fleet of ambulances will be deployed to various counties to support hospitals, clinics, and emergency health teams in responding to road accidents, maternal and child health emergencies, disease outbreaks, and other urgent medical situations.

According to the Ministry, the additional ambulances will further strengthen Liberia’s preparedness and response capacity as the country continues to prioritize improvements in public health and emergency care services.

The Ministry of Health reaffirmed its commitment to advancing quality healthcare delivery across Liberia and called on health workers and county health teams to ensure the responsible and effective use of the ambulances in service to the Liberian people.
