President Boakai Appoints Rose B. Kingstonas Ambassador for Performing and Visual Arts

MONROVIA, Liberia: President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr. has appointed veteran Liberian artist and cultural advocate Rose B. Kingsley as Liberia’s Ambassador for Performing and Visual Arts.

The appointment was announced through a presidential proclamation during a ceremony recognizing Kingsley’s outstanding contributions to Liberia’s creative and cultural sectors.

In the proclamation, President Boakai said the performing and visual arts play a vital role in preserving Liberia’s history and national identity while promoting creativity, social cohesion and economic growth.

The President noted that his administration is committed to elevating the arts as an integral part of the country’s national development agenda and inspiring a new generation of Liberian artists, performers, filmmakers, musicians, writers, designers and other cultural leaders.

President Boakai described Kingsley as an accomplished artist and arts advocate whose career spans more than 25 years. He praised her long-standing dedication to cultural preservation, national development and mentorship, noting that she has positively impacted the lives of many young Liberians both at home and abroad.

“Rose B. Kingsley is hereby appointed as Ambassador for Performing and Visual Arts in the Republic of Liberia,” the President declared during the proclamation.

As Ambassador for Performing and Visual Arts, Kingsley is expected to promote Liberia’s creative industries, support the development of emerging talent and advance the country’s artistic and cultural heritage both nationally and internationally.

The appointment reflects the Boakai administration’s continued commitment to strengthening Liberia’s creative sector and recognizing the role of the arts in national development.
