PCC Confirms Pregnant Woman Is Alive and Receiving Treatment

Paynesville, Liberia: Despite Rumors, Pregnant Vendor Confirmed Alive and Receiving Treatment

Speculation spread among protesting marketers at the Paynesville City Corporation on Wednesday, claiming that the pregnant woman involved in the earlier altercation had died. However, authorities have confirmed that the woman is alive and currently receiving treatment at a medical facility.

According to an official statement, she was taken to the John F. Kennedy Medical Center (JFK), where she is reported to be in stable condition and receiving proper medical care.

Meanwhile, the Paynesville City Corporation (PCC) has launched an investigation into a tense confrontation between one of its officers and a pregnant street seller earlier today in the busy Redlight commercial hub.

According to PCC, Officer Solomon Boakai was enforcing city ordinances restricting street vending in the overcrowded area when an altercation ensued between him and the pregnant vendor. The encounter escalated into a physical tussle, leaving the woman visibly distressed.

She was immediately transported to the John F. Kennedy Medical Center (JFK) for medical evaluation. Medical staff report that she is in stable condition and receiving proper care.

PCC has since recalled Officer Boakai from active duty pending a full-scale investigation.

The Corporation emphasized that the safety, dignity, and rights of all residents  including vulnerable community members remain a top priority.

In a statement, PCC expressed concern for the vendor’s well-being and assured the public of a thorough and transparent review of the incident to establish the full circumstances surrounding the clash.
