Court Reserves Ruling on Finda Bundoo’s Bond
Monrovia, Liberia: Criminal Court “C” has reserved its ruling until Friday, July 3, 2026, on the criminal appearance bond of former Chief of Protocol Nora Finda Bundoo following a hearing on the validity of her sureties.
During Monday’s proceedings before Judge Ousman F. Feika, the defense presented its second surety witness, Rev. Fayah Falanbo, who submitted land documents for properties located around the Fish Market area, New Era, and the LPRC Community to support Bundoo’s bond application. He testified that the properties are backed by valid deeds and tax documents.
Defense lawyers also informed the court that an earlier bond filed using property in Gaye Town, Old Road Community, was never challenged by the prosecution within the required three working days. Prosecutors, however, questioned Rev. Falanbo over the ownership, valuation, and documentation of the properties, as well as his role as a co-defendant in the corruption case.
Following cross-examination by both the defense and prosecution, Judge Feika retired the witness after the defense closed its case. The court will now decide on July 3 whether the sureties and pledged properties satisfy the legal requirements for Bundoo to remain on bond while her corruption and economic crimes case proceeds.
