House Summons Businessman in Land Dispute With Rep. Samuel Enders

Monrovia, Liberia: The House of Representatives has summoned businessman Ododhall Oldpa Karnue, Chief Executive Officer of God’s Willing Incorporated, over an ongoing land dispute with Montserrado County District #6 Representative Samuel R. Enders.

The summons follows a complaint filed by Representative Enders, who requested the House’s intervention in the matter. According to a communication from the House, Karnue was invited to appear before Plenary on Monday, June 29, 2026, to discuss the dispute.

The disagreement centers on a parcel of land in the Nagbe Town Community, Paynesville, which both Enders and Karnue claim to own. The dispute escalated after the Paynesville City Court ruled on June 16 that it lacked jurisdiction and instructed both parties to take the matter before the Civil Law Court.

Following the court’s decision, tensions flared, leading to a physical confrontation between Representative Enders, his supporters, and individuals believed to be linked to God’s Willing Business Center. Videos of the incident later circulated on social media.

A letter dated June 24, signed by House Chief Clerk Mildred Sayon, stated that the meeting was arranged at the direction of the House leadership after Representative Enders sought legislative intervention in the dispute.

While the House says the meeting is intended to promote a peaceful resolution, the move has sparked mixed public reactions, with some questioning the Legislature’s involvement in a case involving one of its own members, especially amid previous allegations that Representative Enders assaulted the businessman.
