LRA Honors 46 Top Taxpayers as Revenue Crosses $804M Benchmark
The Liberia Revenue Authority has recognized 46 top taxpayers during its annual awards ceremony, confirming that domestic revenue collections have exceeded the US$804 million target for Fiscal Year 2025, with significant contributions across corporate, institutional, and financial sectors.
MONROVIA, LIBERIA — May 1, 2026: The Liberia Revenue Authority has honored 46 top taxpayers while confirming that domestic revenue collections have surpassed the Fiscal Year 2025 target of US$804 million, driven by a US$273 million increase over the past two years, a performance attributed to improved compliance, stronger enforcement, and expanded administrative systems across key revenue streams.
The recognition took place during the Taxpayers Appreciation Awards Dinner at Paynesville City Hall, where government officials, business leaders, and institutional partners gathered under the theme “From Vision to Reality: Taxpayers Delivering a Billion Dollar Budget,” reflecting a national effort to consolidate compliance and strengthen domestic revenue performance.
In the overall rankings, Orange Liberia Limited emerged as the highest taxpayer, followed by Monrovia Breweries Incorporated and ArcelorMittal Liberia, a result that underscores the continued dominance of telecommunications, manufacturing, and extractive industries in national revenue generation.
Extending into sector-based categories, Firestone Liberia led in Real Property Tax, while Orange Liberia also maintained leadership in the Large Tax Division and ArcelorMittal Liberia topped the Natural Resource Tax category, reflecting consistent compliance across major economic sectors.
At the same time, WBHO SC Limited and Force Security Enterprise were recognized in the Medium and Small Tax Divisions, highlighting improved compliance participation from mid-sized and smaller enterprises within the tax system.
Moving into institutional compliance, the African Methodist Episcopal University and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were honored for steady remittance performance, demonstrating that tax compliance continues to extend beyond corporate actors into educational and religious institutions.
Similarly, in the trade and customs sector, Fouani Brothers Corporation led the General Merchandise category, Conex Petroleum Service topped petroleum contributions, and Providence Clearing and Forwarding Services was recognized as the most compliant customs broker, reinforcing efficiency within import and clearance systems.
In the financial services sector, Ecobank Liberia Limited recorded the highest tax contribution among commercial banks, while Lone Star MTN Mobile Money led in mobile money compliance, reflecting increased formalization of digital financial transactions.
Speaking at the ceremony, LRA Commissioner General James Dorbor Jallah credited the achievement to strengthened administrative reforms and improved taxpayer cooperation, noting that “meeting tax obligations is now a standard expectation, not a selective practice,” signaling a shift in compliance culture.
For his part, Bong County Senator Prince K. Moye also emphasized the importance of sustained tax contributions to national development, stating that “consistent tax payment remains central to building and sustaining Liberia’s development agenda,” as the ceremony reinforced the role of taxation in public finance stability.
