Flomo Leads Rwandan Premier League Goal Chart After Another Brace for Al Hilal SC

Liberian striker Emmanuel Flomo has surged to the top of the Rwandan Premier League goal chart, continuing a sensational scoring run with another brace in Al Hilal SC’s 3–1 victory over Gicumbi FC on Friday, January 2, 2026.

The two goals take Flomo’s tally to eight goals in ten matches, making him the outright leading scorer in Rwanda’s top flight. His latest double marks his second consecutive brace, further underlining his growing influence in the league.

Flomo opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Al Hilal extended their lead through Adama Coulibaly in the 40th minute. The Liberian forward later returned to complete his brace and seal the win for the visitors.

Beyond topping the goal chart, Flomo’s rise carries historic significance for Liberian football. He has become the first Liberian striker in 13 years to score more than five league goals in a single season after moving directly from a Liberian club to a foreign league on his first transfer.

The last Liberian forward to achieve a similar feat was Keith Nah, who netted 18 league goals for Chin United in Myanmar in 2013 after transferring from LPRC Oilers. Since then, no Liberian striker had surpassed five goals in their debut foreign season—until Flomo’s current run in Rwanda.

The former LISCR FC standout, who scored over 20 goals last season in Liberia, has already registered three braces in eight appearances in Rwanda, many coming off the bench, showcasing his efficiency and composure in front of goal.

Playing alongside fellow Liberian Kindness Cole, a regular starter for Al Hilal, Flomo has been central to the club’s strong form, with Al Hilal creating chances in nearly 80 percent of their matches and maintaining a high win rate.

As Emmanuel Flomo continues to dominate the scoring charts, his performances are not only lifting Al Hilal but also restoring Liberia’s presence on the foreign goal-scoring stage.
