Suakoko, Bong County: The Calvary Baptist Church School System in Suakoko District, Bong County (CBCSS), stands today as one of Liberia’s most respected Christian educational institutions, a system built on faith, discipline, and academic excellence, with campuses serving students in both Monrovia and Bong County.
The school was founded in 1964 by Mid-Baptist missionaries, about two years after the church was established.
After the Liberian civil war ended in 2003, the Suakoko campus was reopened around 2003--2004 as schools and institutions across the country began rebuilding.
Resilient Beginnings and Growth
Emerging from the devastation of Liberia’s 14-year civil conflict, the Calvary Baptist Mission High School in Suakoko District, Bong County, was reopened shortly after the war as a symbol of hope and renewal.
The school is situated on 150 acres of land that was donated to the church in the late 1980s, following the departure of foreign missionaries. Since then, it has grown into one of Bong County’s most prestigious schools, recognized for its discipline, academic rigor, and moral foundation.
The Pipeline Extension Campus, established over three years ago, and the Todee Kindergarten, launched during the most recent academic year, demonstrate the institution’s continued expansion and unwavering commitment to providing quality Christian education across Liberia.
