EFF Liberia Declares 'Coming Revolution'; Positions Gonquoi as Alternative to Boakai Administration

Liberia:The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Liberia has made one of its boldest political declarations yet, presenting itself as a rising national force while signaling that the movement intends to challenge the country's traditional political establishment ahead of future elections. The group described its campaign as a "coming revolution" aimed at delivering economic freedom and social justice.

EFF Liberia, led by Commander-in-Chief Emmanuel D. Gonquoi, said it has continued to strengthen its grassroots network across Liberia, arguing that the movement is gaining support among ordinary citizens who are demanding a new direction for the country. Supporters insist the organization is building from communities rather than relying on the country's traditional political structures.

"Our movement is built from the ground up. We are organizing communities, empowering ordinary people, and preparing a new generation of leadership for Liberia," the movement said in a statement.

The group also paid tribute to its Global President, Julius Sello Malema, describing him as the inspiration behind its Pan-African struggle for economic justice. According to the movement, Malema's philosophy continues to shape EFF Liberia's vision of transforming the country's political and economic system.

In what is likely to fuel political debate, EFF Liberia declared that many within the movement now see Emmanuel D. Gonquoi as a credible alternative to the current Boakai-Koung administration, claiming he represents a bridge between Liberia's old political class and a new generation seeking transformative leadership.

The movement further took aim at rival political parties, claiming some politicians continue to celebrate anniversaries and engage in symbolic political activities despite having little electoral influence. "While others are busy holding political celebrations, we are building one of Liberia's strongest grassroots organizations," the statement asserted.

That claim, along with suggestions that other parties command only a small share of Liberia's voting population, is likely to be disputed because no independent electoral data was presented to support the figures cited by the movement.

EFF Liberia concluded by portraying itself as a "new wave" in Liberian politics driven by discipline, organization, grassroots mobilization, and the pursuit of economic freedom. "Our feet shall take us there," the statement declared, before ending with the slogan, "The Coming Revolution."

The latest declaration is expected to intensify political conversations as opposition groups continue positioning themselves ahead of Liberia's next electoral cycle, with EFF Liberia making clear that it intends to transform its growing grassroots campaign into a significant political force.
